2005 Hyundai Elantra Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Got a call from a guy near Ventura Music Hall in Ventura. He was at a Hyundai meetup and had already been burned once. He'd called one of those cheap Google ads for his 2005 Elantra, the tech showed up, charged way more than quoted, and the OSLOKA-22201T remote only half worked. Lock button was fine, unlock was intermittent, panic did nothing. He found me through Google Guaranteed and the first thing out of his mouth was how to spot a legit locksmith. Fair question.

I gave him my BSIS license number right on the phone, LCO 6792. He checked it on the DCA site while we were still talking. I told him I'd fix what the other guy botched and he'd pay what I quoted. Nothing extra.

Pulled up, popped the remote open on his hood. The previous locksmith had reused the old CR2032 and one of the battery contacts was slightly bent inward, not making solid connection. Replaced the battery, cleaned the contacts, and reprogrammed the remote frequency through my Smart Pro with the correct handshake to the receiver module. All three buttons came back clean: lock, unlock, panic.

Then I tested the transponder side separately. Cycled the ignition, confirmed the ID46 chip was reading on the immobilizer antenna ring around the lock cylinder. No fault codes on the cluster.

He watched every step. Didn't say much until the unlock worked three times in a row from 30 feet. Then he just nodded. That was enough.
