A guy in Thousand Oaks, over in the Casa Conejo neighborhood, called me around 12:30 in the morning. His 2013 Elantra Limited was sitting in the driveway with push-to-start, and his only smart key had just stopped being recognized. Dash kept throwing "Key is not detected" every time he hit the start button.

I drove out, connected my Smart Pro to the OBD-II port, and ran the Hyundai smart key all-keys-lost procedure. On the fifth-gen Elantra (MD platform), the tool reads the PIN from the immobilizer module, a Mobis unit on the steering column, and walks through a full key registration from scratch. His fob was the SY5HMFNA04, four-button, part number 95440-3X200 on the shell. I programmed it, tested lock, unlock, trunk, panic, and then had him do a cold start from the driver seat.
The whole thing took maybe 25 minutes in his driveway at 1am. He just kind of stood there watching the engine turn over like he expected it to argue.
