2006 Nissan Armada REMOTE-HEAD-KEY Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A night-shift janitor in Fillmore, over in the Mountain View neighborhood, called me about his 2006 Armada. Another locksmith had made him a key about eight days earlier. It started the car fine at first, then started failing. Mornings it would turn over. By evening the NATS security light on the dash would blink and the engine would crank but refuse to fire. He thought the car had an electrical problem.
It didn't. The key had the wrong chip.
His Armada runs NATS5 with a PCF7936 (ID46) transponder. A close-but-wrong chip, like a generic ID46 clone not properly configured for Nissan's NATS protocol, can pass the initial registration but fail after the system runs its rolling validation over multiple start cycles. I pulled his bad key, read it with my VVDI2, and confirmed the chip type was off. Programmed a new CWTWB1U751 remote head key with the correct PCF7936, cut the blade to match, and swapped in a fresh CR1620 while I was at it because his old battery was reading low and making the lock and unlock buttons work only from two feet away.
He stood there holding both keys, turning them over, trying to see what was different. From the outside, nothing. From the inside, everything.
That replacement has been working for months. The difference between a key that works and one that works for a week is the chip inside it.

Reviews from customers we rescued
“My ignition would not turn in La Jolla and I thought I needed a tow. EZ Car Keyz repaired the ignition on the spot and also made a spare key for safety. The technician worked carefully and confidently.”
“Niv showed up, did his thing, and just like that I had two new keys for a fraction of what the dealership quoted. I have zero reservations recommending him to anyone who needs car keys replaced.”
“We had one broken key for our Honda Civic and one working key for our Lexus. Tim came out and cut three remote car keys at a great price. All keys worked perfectly. Professional, courteous, and highly recommended.”
