2007 Nissan Armada REMOTE-HEAD-KEY Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A guy near the Fillmore Towne Theatre area in Fillmore flagged me down for his 2007 Armada. He had been playing pickup volleyball at the courts nearby, came back to his truck, and his only key would not turn the ignition past ACC. He had already called the Nissan dealer and they told him it would be a tow plus a multi-day wait.

I checked the key first. The blade was worn, and the 4D60 transponder chip inside the head was still responding to my reader, so the immobilizer side was fine. The issue was mechanical. The cuts had rounded off over the years and the wafers in the ignition cylinder were hanging up.

I decoded the lock on his driver door, cut a fresh NSN14 blade on my mobile machine, and transferred his CWTWB1U751 remote head into the new key housing. Connected my IM608 to the OBD port under the dash, pulled up the NATS5 module on the BCM, and confirmed the transponder was still registered. No reprogramming needed, just a clean blade.

Then testing. Lock, unlock, panic button from 30 feet out. Three cold starts back to back to make sure the immobilizer handshake was clean every time. He stood there watching the whole routine, arms crossed, like he was waiting for something to go wrong.

Nothing went wrong. He drove off for a fraction of what the dealer quoted him, same afternoon.
