South Bank neighborhood in Oxnard, right off Channel Islands Boulevard. The owner's 2022 Armada wouldn't recognize either of his smart keys. "No Key Detected" on the dash, doors wouldn't lock with the handle button, nothing.

I pulled up to his driveway and ran a BCM scan first. B2614 code: key registration error. The body control module had dumped its key memory. Happens on these when the 12V battery gets disconnected or goes too low. I connected through the OBD port, cleared the fault, and re-registered both CWTWB1G744 fobs using the Nissan PIN code from his door jamb sticker.
Twenty minutes later, both keys worked perfect. Handle touch lock, remote start, the works. No new keys needed, no towing, no three-day wait. Just knowing that B2614 means the BCM forgot the keys, not that the keys died.
He kept asking if it would happen again. Only if the battery dies or someone unhooks it without following the proper shutdown sequence. Now he knows.
