I got a call from a guy in the Five Points area of Oxnard on a Tuesday evening. He worked nights, and his 2014 Armada had been giving him a key-not-detected warning on and off for about a week. The car had accepted it well enough to start a few times, but over subsequent key cycles the vehicle's security system flagged the mismatch and began rejecting it. It's a known failure mode when the programming step gets rushed or the wrong key shell is used.
I programmed a proper replacement fob to this specific Armada, verified all four buttons were functional, confirmed the door handle touch unlock worked on both front doors, and tested the mechanical blade in the driver's door slot. Then I watched him do a cold start himself, lock up, and walk away from the car. It saw the fob the moment he approached.
