Guy landed after a consulting trip, walked out to the garage at the airport, and his 2018 Maxima was a brick. Fob wouldn't wake the car. Doors locked. The emergency insert blade was inside his laptop bag, which was in the trunk, and the trunk wouldn't pop without a signal from the Intelligent Key.

I got to him in under an hour. Opened the door, plugged my IM608 II into the OBD port, and pulled the key status through the BCM. His KR5S180144014 was still registered to the car, no fault stored on the NATS6 module, nothing wrong with the immobilizer side. The whole problem was a dead CR2032 killing the RF signal and the push-to-start wake-up. Swapped the battery, cleared the "NO KEY DETECTED" message that had latched on the dash, and tested all five buttons plus the passive entry on both front handles and the trunk.
He just stood there holding his luggage, watching his own car work again like nothing happened.
I left him a spare CR2032 for the center console. He drove home that morning instead of waiting two days for a dealer slot and arranging a tow to get there.
