The Uber driver in Tierra Rejada Open Space had perfect timing for a key failure. Friday night, surge pricing, and his Maxima wouldn't recognize the Intelligent Key.
He'd already tried the basics. New CR2032, cleaned the contacts, even held the fob against the start button like the manual says. Nothing. The dash kept flashing "No Key Detected" and his night was slipping away while riders waited for someone else.

Ten minutes to clear codes and re-register the existing fob. Another five to test all functions: lock, unlock, trunk, panic, remote start. Everything worked like it should. He made it back online before the surge ended.
The dealer wanted him there Monday morning, three days of lost income. Some fixes can't wait for business hours.
