This is one of the more common calls I get on the Intelligent Key system. A few things can cause it.

First, the battery. A CR2032 that's borderline weak can work fine in cool morning temps and then lose enough voltage by afternoon to drop below the threshold the module wants. Swap the battery before anything else.

If the battery is good, the next thing is whether the fob lost its pairing. This happens more than people expect, usually after a battery swap done incorrectly, a dead 12-volt battery in the car, or occasionally just on its own. The fob looks physically fine but the car's security module no longer recognizes it. That requires reprogramming, not a new fob.

There's also interference. Certain parking structures, shopping centers, and areas near electronic equipment can temporarily suppress the signal. Move the car to an open area and test again before assuming the worst.

If the key-not-detected warning is still there after a fresh battery and a location change, that's when you call me.
