Marina Park resident called about her 2024 Murano throwing "I-Key System Error" on the dash. Started intermittent, then constant.

The fix wasn't the key at all. I cleared codes, cycled the steering lock motor through bi-directional controls, and ran the relearn. The I-Key error vanished. All five buttons tested clean: lock, unlock, panic, hatch, remote start. Started the engine three times from outside the vehicle to verify range.
She mentioned the dealer quoted two days minimum because they'd need to order the ESL module first, then maybe the BCM if that didn't fix it. We had her sorted in 35 minutes in her own driveway, for way less than what they wanted just for diagnostics.
