Got a call from a guy at the Ojai Arcade area who'd been bass fishing out past town all morning. Somewhere between the boat launch and his truck he lost his only key. Checked the dock, checked with the bait shop, retraced his steps twice. Nothing. Once I had the mechanical cut done, I plugged into the OBD-II port under the dash and ran the NATS4 all-keys-lost procedure. That wipes whatever transponder codes were registered before and writes the new PCF7936 chip as primary.

Key turned, engine caught, security light went off. Done right there in the lot.

I cut him a spare too because a single-key Nissan is just another all-keys-lost job waiting to happen. He had the car running and two working keys in hand before the afternoon got hot. The dealer would have needed a tow plus a weekday appointment plus a wait. He drove home instead.
