Got a GPS pin from a guy near East Beach in Santa Barbara. He was parked along the road by the volleyball courts, visiting from out of town, and his 2016 Sentra's only Intelligent Key had vanished somewhere between the sand and the car.

First I decoded his door lock and got inside. Then I pulled immobilizer data through the OBD port, backed everything up, and registered a fresh fob. Cut the emergency insert on my mobile station so he'd have a mechanical backup too. Tested all five buttons, the push-button start, and the passive entry on both front doors.
He kept pressing the door handle like he expected it to stop working. It didn't.
The whole thing took about 35 minutes on a curb, no tow, no appointment, no waiting days for a part. He made his drive home that night.
