2012 Nissan Sentra
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2012 Nissan Sentra Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I got a call from a woman over in Samarkand on a Tuesday morning. She had a 2012 Nissan Sentra and one working key. Her husband had been the one who always handled the car stuff, and he had passed earlier that year. She wanted a spare made before anything went wrong, but she had called the dealer first.

They told her to bring it in, that they would need to keep it for the morning, and gave her a number that made her pause. She wrote it down and sat on it for three weeks before her neighbor mentioned EZ Car Keyz.

When I got there, the car was in the driveway. She met me outside and watched the whole thing from about four feet away, asking questions as I went. I like that. I connected through the OBD port, walked the immobilizer enrollment sequence, and got the new key registered while the original stayed on the key ring the whole time. Cut the blade to match the car, tested the remote functions, tested the start. Everything live, right there in the driveway.

The part she kept coming back to was that I did it at her house. No tow, no appointment, no waiting room. She had somewhere to be that afternoon and she made it.

The dealer comparison came up at the end, almost as an aside. She just said she wished she had called sooner. That part sticks with me.
