Out near El Capitan State Beach in Santa Barbara, a guy had his 2011 Sentra parked at the lot closest to the bluffs. Came back from a long hike, hit the door handle, nothing. Dash lit up with "KEY ID INCORRECT" when he held the fob to the start button. He thought the car was done.

They told him they would need the vehicle towed in and the BCM pulled to retrieve the PIN through CONSULT III Plus before they could even order a replacement Intelligent Key. I drove out with a programmed-ready CWTWBU735 blank and my IM608 Pro. Plugged into the OBD-II port under the dash, pulled the 20-digit BCM security code off the NATS6 module directly, and registered the new smart key. The B16 Sentra runs a Hitag2 / PCF7952 crypto chip in these fobs, and the IM608 handles that handshake without needing the dealer's challenge-response server.
Whole thing took about 25 minutes in the gravel lot. He tested all four buttons, the push-button start, and the door handle proximity unlock. Then he just stood there watching the ocean for a second, like the stress was draining out in real time.
He kept his camping trip. Saved a good chunk over the dealer route and never left the parking lot.
