A guy in Port Hueneme, over near the Port Hueneme Historical Society Museum, had just picked up a 2004 Escalade from an estate sale. Clean truck, clearly taken care of, but it came with one key. The family handed him a single blade with a beat-up LHJ011 remote and said good luck.
He called the Cadillac dealer. They wanted him to bring the truck in, wait a few days, and pay full dealer rate for a spare key and programming. He found me online and asked if that price was normal.

I met him at the truck with my VVDI2 and read the PK3 transponder data off his working key through the OBD-II port. Cut a fresh B106 blade on my machine, cloned the transponder, and then programmed the new LHJ011 remote using the door lock sequence built into the Body Control Module. Three buttons: lock, unlock, hatch. All confirmed.
The part he didn't think about was what he just avoided. With two working keys, any future replacement is a simple add-a-key job through OBD. If he'd lost that single key down the road, we'd be looking at a BCM relearn on the PK3 system, which costs a lot more and takes longer. One spare key now saved him a real headache later.
He drove off with two working keys for a fraction of what the dealer quoted for one.
