The HYQ2AB is a 6-button proximity fob running on GM's Hitag Pro ID49 transponder. I pulled immobilizer data through the OBD port using my programmer, generated the key, cut a new HU100 emergency insert blade on my mobile machine, and registered the fob to his Body Control Module. The whole thing happened in his driveway while he stood there watching.
He kept looking at the gate like the tow truck was going to show up anyway. Habit.
