2015 Chevrolet Spark Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A guy in the Madera neighborhood of Simi Valley texted me on a Saturday morning. He had a 2015 Spark and one key to his name. Not a spare anywhere. He knew it was a bad situation but kept putting off doing anything about it until the battery in the fob started going soft and the range dropped to about two feet.
He was not stranded. The key still worked. But he had that feeling, the one where you know the next dead battery or one fumble over a storm drain ends the whole day.
I came out to him. He was parked in his driveway, which made it easy. I had the right blank on the van and the programming gear already loaded. Cut a second key to match his ignition, enrolled it through the OBD port, tested both keys back to back in the ignition and on the door locks.
He asked what the dealer would have said. I told him they would have gotten him in eventually, probably a few days out, and the bill would have been a lot heavier. He nodded like that tracked with what he already expected.
Two keys now. Both work. Job took under 45 minutes from the time I pulled up.
