A fleet dispatcher near Gaviota State Park in Santa Barbara had been fighting the ignition on a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan for weeks. I looked at the Y160 cylinder and the problem was worn wafers, not a dead assembly. Before I touched anything mechanical, I used my ACDP to read the WIN module data as a backup. Then I decoded the lock, swapped the worn wafers, and cut a fresh FOBIK blade matched to the repaired cylinder.
Her IYZ-C01C paired right back up through OBD. I showed her the old wafers on the hood so she could see the wear that was causing the catch.
She stood there turning the key back and forth in the cylinder a few times like she was making sure it was real. Smooth every time.
The ignition turns clean, the FOBIK slides in without a fight, and she didn't replace a single part that was still working. Whole thing cost a fraction of what the dealer wanted.
