I got a call from a guy on the Westside in Santa Barbara, early on a weekday. He works a trade job, hands dirty by seven in the morning, and he wasn't calling me because it was convenient. He was calling because he'd dropped his only fob the week before and something inside it had shifted. Then I went ahead and made him a second fob anyway, because that was the whole point of the call. Programmed through the OBD port, blade cut to match the lock, emergency insert key fitted into the new fob body. Both keys walked through every function before I packed up.
He made his job site on time. I was already on the road to my next call before he pulled out of the driveway.
