There's a breezeway at an apartment complex out in Heritage Valley, Fillmore, where the light is terrible and the pavement smells like motor oil. That's where I met the guy who owned a 2004 Dodge Viper with a fob that looked like it had been run over.

The board transferred clean, the chip came with it, the CR2032 seated right. I verified range on every button and walked through lock, unlock, and the other two functions. Cut the blade from the decode. Done.
The dealer route would have meant waiting, dropping the car, paying for programming on parts that didn't need it, and spending a lot more money in the process. We handled the whole thing in the breezeway, same day, for way less.
