2005 Dodge Viper Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I got a call from a guy parked on Central Avenue in Downtown Fillmore, couple blocks from the old theater. He had a 2005 Viper and his fob had stopped working entirely. Not intermittent, just gone. Buttons did nothing.

He'd already been through the battery swap, new CR2032 seated correctly, and still nothing. He figured the fob was toast and wanted to know if I could sort it out on the spot.

I pulled up to him in about twenty minutes. He had the fob sitting on the hood already, battery door off, waiting. I tested the key side first to separate the two systems, confirmed the ignition key was doing its job. Then I looked at the fob itself and checked the contact points. One of them had enough corrosion on it that a fresh battery wasn't making clean contact. Cleaned the contacts, seated a new CR2032, and the range came back.
