He was at a bar near Camino Real Marketplace in Goleta after his shift, and by the time he reached for his jacket it was already gone. Keys, wallet, work badge. The whole thing. He's a firefighter, off-duty, and he borrowed the bartender's phone to call the police, then his wife, then me.
