Guy near Rose Shopping Center in Oxnard called me on a Tuesday morning. He had just landed from a consulting trip, walked out to the airport lot, and his 2015 Frontier was dead to the world. The remote head key would not unlock the doors, the panic button did nothing, and the truck just sat there.

BCM was still showing his CWTWB1U751 as a registered key, no lost communication codes, no NATS warning lamp history. The transponder was fine. The whole problem was a dead CR1620 killing the RF signal for the remote buttons.
Swapped the battery, tested all three buttons at range, confirmed the transponder wake with the ignition, and cleared the one stored fault. I handed him a spare CR1620 to keep in the console for next time.
He drove home that morning. The dealer would have had him waiting two days and paying for a tow on top of their service bill. He spent a fraction of that and was gone in about twenty minutes.
