Harbor patrol guy called from Fisherman's Wharf at Oxnard Harbor. His 2023 Forester wouldn't see the key, and his boat inspection started in an hour.
"Dashboard says key not detected, but I'm holding it right here." Classic smart key ghost. Could be the fob, could be the car's receiver acting up.
