2007 Toyota Avalon Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A parent in Downtown Moorpark was finishing up a school conference when she came back to her Avalon and got nothing. Door handles not responding to touch, push-button start sitting there useless, key warning on the dash. She had a pickup across town at three o'clock and zero time to negotiate with a dealer's service lane.
She called me from the parking lot.
The fob battery was the first thing I checked on site. Dead. Not low, dead. Swapped in a fresh CR1632, seated it clean, and the touch unlock on both front handles came right back. That alone was a relief, but I still walked every button and confirmed the start button was reading the fob correctly before I called it done.
The whole thing took less time than it would have taken her to get a dealer on the phone. She made the pickup. The dealer, for context, had quoted her a wait of several days just to get an appointment, on top of a bill that would have been a lot more than what she paid me.
One battery. Right car, right cell, right call.
