Out near Centennial Plaza in Oxnard, a guy lost his only smart key for his 2011 Avalon somewhere between a campsite and a fire pit. His car was sitting on a dirt access road, no tow truck getting in there easily, and no dealer within any kind of reasonable distance.
He texted me a GPS pin. I drove out with everything already in the van.
First thing I did was connect my ACDP2 to the Smart Key ECU through the OBD port and back up the immobilizer data from the ID box, board 89780-07060. That backup is the safety net before any key data gets touched. Then I decoded the door cylinder and cut a fresh emergency blade on my Condor XC-Mini right on the tailgate.
Built the whole HYQ14AAB proximity fob from scratch. Four buttons, DST80 crypto, fresh CR1632. Registered it to his system, erased the lost fob so it could never start the car, and tested every function: push-button start, door handle touch unlock, door handle lock button, trunk release.
His Avalon started on a dirt road with zero cell service. He just sat there for a second with his hands on the wheel, like he was making sure it was real.
No flatbed. No dealer waiting room. Just a pin drop and a finished key, for way less than anyone else was going to charge.
