A parent near the Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara was at her kid's school conference when her 2005 Tundra's remote quit working mid-afternoon. Lock button, nothing. Unlock, nothing. Panic, nothing. She had a 3pm pickup at another school and zero margin.

She was pulling out of that lot with both systems working before 2:30. No tow, no parts order, no lost afternoons sitting in a dealer waiting room. The whole thing was a battery and a few minutes of testing.
