With the VIN texted ahead, I'd already pulled the right blank and checked which security protocol her SR5 used. These new Tundras need the seed/key exchange through the OBD port, plus the Digital Key module wants to verify even on traditional fobs.
VVDI2 read her working key's DST-AES data in about 40 seconds. While it calculated the transponder values, I cut the TOY51 emergency blade on the Condor Mini. The new Tundras use a wider blade spacing than the previous generation.
Programming went smooth until the truck asked for the second verification. Had to cycle the push-button start twice before the BCM accepted the new fob. Normal quirk on these.
Tested all four buttons, made sure the panic would cancel properly, verified the emergency blade worked the hidden cylinder. She pocketed both keys and headed back inside for her coffee. Whole job took 22 minutes in her parking spot.
