2002 Acura MDX REMOTE-HEAD-KEY Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
In Oxnard, over in the Saviers Road business district, a 2002 MDX owner walked out to his truck and hit lock on his remote out of habit. Nothing happened.
He had one working black master key that started the engine fine, but the keyless remote had quit months back. He found a replacement online that "matched the FCC ID" and spent a weekend trying every ignition-cycle programming sequence he found on MDX forums. Still would not pair.
First thing I did was flip his old remote over. Stamped on the back: 72147-S3V-A23, that is the Memory transmitter, the one that ties into the driver seat and mirror recall. The one he bought online was 72147-S3V-A02, same FCC ID E4EG8D-444H-A, same shell, but no memory function. Different internal board. Forums on mdxers.com are full of guys making the same swap and wondering why nothing happens.
While he watched, I cut a fresh BHD106-PT transponder key with the Megamos 13 chip and registered it through the immobilizer so he had a solid backup that starts the truck even if his daily key takes a beating.
Then I programmed the correct A23 Memory remote, tested lock, unlock, and panic, and confirmed seat memory recall was toggling with driver one and driver two like it should.
He just nodded, pocketed everything, and walked right back into work. The dealer route would have meant leaving the MDX somewhere else for a day or two, plus the markup on parts and shop time.

Real reviews from real locations
“Niv showed up, did his thing, and just like that I had two new keys for a fraction of what the dealership quoted. I have zero reservations recommending him to anyone who needs car keys replaced.”
“We had one broken key for our Honda Civic and one working key for our Lexus. Tim came out and cut three remote car keys at a great price. All keys worked perfectly. Professional, courteous, and highly recommended.”
“Tim was GREAT. I honestly swear he must have had my keys made before he even showed up. The entire process was insanely fast, from the initial phone call to having the keys in my hand. No one will beat the pricing, efficiency, or outstanding service.”
