In Oxnard at Five Points Shopping Center, a 2003 MDX owner walked up holding one gray valet key and nothing else. No master, no remote. Just the short key that starts the engine but will not open the glove box.

I set up behind the MDX and cut a full master on a BHD106-PT blank to match her existing cuts. On these YD1 trucks the immobilizer module talks to the Megamos ID13 chip before it lets the injectors fire. If the chip is wrong or unregistered, the green key icon on the dash blinks and the engine cranks but never catches. So I do the slow part every time: key in, ignition on, watch the indicator, start, shut down, repeat. No shortcuts.
Once the master was registered I paired a replacement E4EG8D-444H-A transmitter and cycled every door, plus the tailgate release, from the buttons. Confirmed lock, unlock, panic, and hatch.
When the new black master turned the glove box on the first try, she just stood there and laughed. No tow, no service counter, no leaving the MDX somewhere for a day. She drove home from Five Points with a proper set for a fraction of what the dealer wanted.
