Got a call from a woman near the Oxnard Transit Center who had a 1999 Lexus LS 400 with a remote head key that looked like it had been through a war. Shell cracked along the seam, lock button basically flat, and the emergency blade wobbling in its slot every time she pulled it out.

She turned the key, the immobilizer read the 4C chip, engine fired right up. Tested lock, unlock, trunk. All clean. Then she just held the new shell in her hand for a second, turning it over, like she was making sure it was real.
She kept her working electronics and got a key that didn't feel like it was about to fall apart. Paid a fraction of what the dealer wanted for a full replacement she never needed.
