Guy comes back from a week-long work trip, rolling a carry-on across the cell phone lot at the airport, and his Prius just sits there. No click, no flash, nothing. Fob battery was dead. Walked every function: door handles, lock button on the handle, start button response. Everything came back clean.
He drove out of that parking space before dinner. The car had not moved in a week, and the fix happened right where he left it. He put a spare CR2032 in the glovebox before I left. That part was his idea.
