My Smart Pro connected through the OBD-II port, read the transponder seed from the immobilizer, and registered the new G-chip key alongside her existing one. Cut the blade on my Triton, cloned the three-button remote, and tested ignition start and all three remote buttons.
The whole thing took about 20 minutes. She stood there holding her grocery list the entire time, like she was waiting for the catch.
There was no catch. She drove off with two working keys for a fraction of what the dealer wanted, and she never had to leave her truck anywhere.
