Over near Oxnard Skate Park on a Sunday, a woman from the church across the way flagged me down. She had a 2013 F-150 that would crank, fire for about two seconds, then die. The key data was sitting in temporary status, which is why the truck would crank but not run.

I cleared out the botched attempt, ran a clean PATS learn with the full timed security sequence, and waited it out. No shortcuts. When the IM608 screen confirmed the key was permanently written, I tested the OUCD6000022 fob, all three buttons, lock, unlock, panic, then a cold start. Clean ignition, no two-second cutoff.

She watched the whole thing from the passenger seat. When the engine held, she just sat there for a second like she was waiting for it to quit again. It didn't.

She had already paid one tech for a job that was never finished. I could not fix that part. But the truck was running right when I left.
