Got a call from the Funk Zone in Santa Barbara. A guy had been loading his 2005 Lincoln Navigator after picking up wine for some event, set the key on the bumper, and drove off. So there's about a 30-minute window where the system is just thinking. I programmed the transponder chips during the wait, then synced the 3-button remotes.
Both keys started the Navigator, locks worked from every door, and his old lost key got wiped from the system so it was dead to the car. He drove out of the Funk Zone with two working keys in under an hour and a half, for a fraction of what the dealer quoted his insurance company.
