A guy parked off Milpas near the Westside edge had been through two shops already. His 2007 Outback would crank fine, turn over strong, then just die. No warning lights that pointed anywhere useful. He'd already had the fuel system checked. Someone suggested the MAF sensor. He was getting close to authorizing a bigger diagnostic bill.

Whoever made it either skipped the programming step or didn't have the right equipment for this generation of Subaru security system.
