I got a call from a guy near the courts off Calle Real in Downtown Santa Barbara. He had his 2008 Outback and a remote head key that was doing something annoying: lock and unlock worked fine from close range, but by the time he was thirty feet away, nothing. When I got there, I popped the shell open on the hood of his car. The board looked fine at a glance. Then I looked at the rubber keypad under the buttons.
