A doctor at a medical building in Ventura, right near Omer Rains Bike Trail, called me between patients. Her 1999 Land Cruiser key had cracked at the head and the blade was getting loose enough to wobble in the ignition. The transponder side is a 4C chip, so programming went through OBD with no issues. Cloned the remote on the HYQ1512V at 315 MHz, swapped in a fresh CR1616, tested lock, unlock, and panic from across the garage.
Thirty minutes, start to finish. She walked out after her last patient to two working keys sitting in an envelope on her front seat. Her car never left the spot. No tow, no half-day at the dealership, and the whole thing cost a fraction of what they wanted.
