2020 Toyota Land Cruiser
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2020 Toyota Land Cruiser Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A guy near Concha Loma in Carpinteria reached out after a rough experience. He had searched for a locksmith, clicked the first ad, and the price on the phone was almost nothing.

The guy who showed up tripled it once he was standing next to the Land Cruiser. The key the scammer programmed barely worked: the door handles were unreliable and the engine start was intermittent enough that he was nervous every time he parked it.

He found EZ Car Keyz through Google Guaranteed and his first question was how to tell a real locksmith from one of those operations.

I told him to ask for a BSIS license number. That is the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services. My number is LCO#6792. It means background checks, insurance, a registered physical business, and accountability. He looked it up on his phone while we talked, right there in the parking lot.

I reprogrammed his fob correctly, ran through the full security enrollment with my equipment, and walked every function: all four buttons, both front door handle sensors, and a clean engine start. Everything came back solid.

He asked what the dealer would have charged. I told him to call and find out for comparison, because I do not make up numbers. What I will say is that my price was a good chunk less, and the work was done in his driveway in Concha Loma instead of a service bay with a two-day wait.
