2007 Toyota Land Cruiser
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2007 Toyota Land Cruiser Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

There is a parking lot off the Limoneira stretch in Santa Paula, and I have worked it more than once. This one was a Wednesday.

A mom called around noon. Her 2007 Land Cruiser needed a replacement fob and she had already called the dealer. They told her Monday. She had a toddler in the car, a week of errands that could not move, and zero interest in figuring out borrowed rides for four days. She found me instead.

I was on-site that afternoon. The Land Cruiser is a big, heavy, no-nonsense vehicle and the key system matches that personality. I connected my programmer, ran the security handshake, and walked the registration through step by step. The immobilizer read the new key, confirmed it, and that was that.

Then the part that actually matters to the owner: I tested the remote on every door. Confirmed the engine started and held. Confirmed the key-not-detected warning was gone from the dash. Walked her through the battery type so she would know what to grab in two or three years when the fob starts acting weak.

She did not need Monday. She needed Wednesday. The dealer quote, tow included, was a number that made her pause when she told me. What she paid me was a fraction of that. More than the cost difference, though, she had her car back before dinner. With a toddler, that is the whole ballgame.
