A woman near Miramar Beach in Montecito called after her clutch purse was stolen off the back of her chair at a wine bar. Keys, ID, cards, all gone. She borrowed someone's phone and called the police, then her husband, then me.
Her 1999 Lexus GS was sitting in the lot with zero keys. The husband had already called the Lexus dealer. They wanted the car towed in, said it would be four to five business days, and recommended a full immobilizer reprogram. The quote made him go quiet on the phone.

The stolen key still has a valid 4C transponder code in it, so the first step is wiping the immobilizer ECU's key memory so that fob is electronically dead to the car. I used my IM608 to access the immobilizer module, cleared the old key data, and registered two fresh HYQ1512V remote head keys from scratch. Decoded the lock cylinder, cut both emergency blades on site, and programmed the 4C chips one at a time through the OBD-II port.
Both fobs were locking, unlocking, and starting the car before the police even called back with a case number.
She drove home that night. The stolen key can't start anything now. That's the part that mattered most to her, and it was done in under an hour in a parking lot, not five days at a service bay.
