There's a stretch of Madera in Simi Valley where the streets are quiet in the morning and the driveways are long. I pulled up to one of them on a Tuesday, van parked behind a 2008 Lexus GS that the owner said "just stopped working."

Then I walked every function. Touch unlock on both front handles. Lock button. Start button. The other two buttons. Everything came back clean. No programming, no module work. Just a bent contact that cost her a week of frustration.
She asked what the dealer would have charged. I told her they'd probably have started by ordering a whole replacement fob, and the wait on parts alone could take a while. She just nodded and said that tracked.
