A woman in Mission Oaks called me on a Saturday morning. She had one key left for her 2019 Lexus GS, had been meaning to get a spare cut for months, and finally did something about it when she realized she'd left that single fob sitting on the kitchen counter while the car was locked in the driveway.
Her neighbor had let her back into the house. The car wasn't going anywhere.

I programmed the new fob, seated a fresh CR1632, and walked every function: door handle touch unlock on both front doors, the lock button, unlock button, and the remaining buttons on the four-button fob. Everything confirmed.
She tested the fob herself, twice, before I packed up. Standing in her driveway, she said she'd been putting this off for a year because she assumed it had to be a dealer trip. It didn't.
She saved a good chunk compared to what the dealer would have charged, and she didn't lose a weekday to it.
