2004 Lexus GX Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A woman in the Channel Islands Harbor area called on a Tuesday morning. Her 2004 GX had been sitting in the driveway for two days because she had one key and something had gone wrong with it. The remote portion had stopped responding completely, and she wasn't fully sure the ignition side was right either.

I reseated it, cleaned the terminals, and tested the remote range walking the perimeter of her car. All three buttons working.
Then I connected through the OBD port to confirm the transponder was still paired correctly and to add a second key as a spare, because she'd been running on one key for who knows how long and that's just an accident waiting to happen.
She stood on her front step with her tea and watched the whole thing from maybe fifteen feet away. When I handed her the second key, she tested the lock button twice, then the unlock, then looked at me and said that was the first time she'd felt like the car was actually hers again.
