2022 Lexus GX Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
It was a Saturday evening up on The Riviera in Santa Barbara. A couple had parked near the theater, caught a show, came back out, and the fob was completely dead to the car. Doors wouldn't respond. They stood there clicking it the way everyone does, like more clicks might change the outcome.
They thought about leaving it and dealing with it Monday. Then one of them searched for a Lexus locksmith on the phone and called me. I was about twelve minutes out.
When I got there, I had everything already in the van. Fob shell, fresh CR2032, the right programming equipment. I opened the fob on the hood so they could watch, seated a new battery, confirmed the contacts were clean, and ran the registration through my diagnostic tool. Push-to-start came back on the first press.
The whole call took less than half an hour. They drove home that night instead of arranging a ride and waiting through the weekend. The dealer conversation never even came up - they'd already done that math in their heads before they called me.
When everything is stocked and you know the vehicle, a Saturday night call is the same job as a Tuesday morning.
