I was already working the J Street Corridor area on a Saturday evening when the call came in. A couple had walked out from somewhere near the theater strip and their 2015 GX was just sitting there, ignoring the fob. Not dead. Lights came on. Engine wouldn't start. They were mentally scheduled for a Monday dealer appointment, a loaner, a three-day wait, and a bill that would have made them wince. A fresh battery on a Saturday night got them home in the same car, same evening. That's the whole job sometimes.
