An overnight stocker called me from a taco truck lot off Patterson Road in Oxnard around 11pm. His only key to his 2000 Pathfinder was gone. No spare ever existed. He was about to call a tow just to get the car somewhere safe overnight.

Under the parking lot lights I cut the key by code, then used my VVDI Key Tool to generate and clone the ID46 chip matched to his Pathfinder's immobilizer module. The whole process took about twenty minutes. No tow, no waiting for a dealer service department that was already closed and wouldn't have seen him for days anyway.
He sat on the tailgate of his truck eating a taco and watching. When the engine turned over on the first try, he just nodded real slow like he'd been holding his breath the entire time.
He drove home that night. The VIN is the single most useful piece of information you can give me when you call.
