2007 Nissan Pathfinder
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2007 Nissan Pathfinder Remote Head Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I got a call from a guy in College Estates, over on the east side of Oxnard. It was close to midnight.

He was in a taco truck parking lot and his only key to his 2007 Pathfinder was gone. Not at home on the counter. Gone. He thought he had left it somewhere earlier in the night and retraced his whole shift in his head while we talked. Never found it.

He did not have his registration on him, which is where a lot of people freeze up. I told him to look through the windshield at the bottom left corner of the glass on the driver's side. He found the VIN. Then I told him to open his insurance app on his phone, and his card was right there. That was all I needed to get moving.

With the VIN confirmed, I already knew exactly what I was working with before I pulled up. Correct key blank, correct battery, the right equipment loaded and ready.

I cut and programmed his replacement remote head key in the parking lot. Verified the transponder was enrolled, walked the lock and unlock buttons, tested the key in the ignition. Everything confirmed on site. He did not have to wait for a dealer to open in the morning, did not have to tow the car anywhere, and he drove home that night.

The dealer was not an option at midnight anyway. But even if it had been daytime, what he paid me was a fraction of what they would have quoted, without the tow charge on top. The VIN through the windshield is genuinely the fastest thing you can give me when you call. It gets me there prepared instead of guessing.
