I got a call from a tire shop out in Corriganville. The customer's 2013 Sienna was already there for a tire swap when the key situation fell apart, and by the time I arrived it had become a bigger mess than anyone planned.
Another locksmith had been out first. Something went wrong mid-programming, the security module threw errors, and they left. Now the car wouldn't accept any key and sat there with a key-not-detected warning that wasn't going away on its own.

I pulled the relevant module, read the stored data, cleared the fault state, and rebuilt the key registration from scratch. One clean attempt after the reset and the fob paired without complaint.
Ninety minutes on site. The alternative was a flatbed to the dealer, a multi-day turnaround, and a bill that would've made the tire shop uncomfortable to relay. I keep the bench tools in the van because the "previous locksmith left it worse" call is a real call, not a rare one.
