2024 Toyota Sienna
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2024 Toyota Sienna Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

A guy found me the way a lot of people do now: YouTube first, phone call second. He had watched one of my Toyota key videos, figured out what the process actually looks like, and saved my number before he ever had a problem. When his 2024 Sienna fob started acting up near the waterfront in Downtown Santa Barbara, he already knew exactly who he was calling.

The symptom was range. The fob worked, just barely. He had to be within a few feet of the van before the doors would respond, and the sliding door buttons had gotten unreliable from any real distance. He had already tried a new battery, which is always the right first move.

I pulled up to where he was parked and started from the outside in. Battery contacts looked fine. The fob itself had no visible damage. I ran a quick function check on all six buttons, then checked whether the vehicle was reading the fob consistently at different distances. It was not. The registration had partially corrupted, which happens and is not the owner's fault. It is just a thing that occurs occasionally with this generation.

I used my programmer to re-register the fob to the vehicle, then did the full button test again and walked it out to real distances. Everything came back. He stood there pressing the sliding door button from twenty feet away with a look like he was testing whether it would change its mind.

The whole job was done at his vehicle. No tow, no appointment, no leaving it overnight. He mentioned the dealer had quoted him a number that made him wince just thinking about it. What he paid me was a fraction of that.
